One of Croatia's UNESCO World Heritage sites, Emperor Diocletian chose the palace to be his retirement home because of the incomparable beauty of Split. A guided tour takes you through the mysterious passageways and into the lower levels of this massive structure. Then, it's your choice! Visit the oldest museum institution in Croatia, Split's Archaeological Museum, founded in 1820; marvel at a diverse range of artifacts from the Paleolithic to the Iron Age -OR- explore more of the Diocletian's Palace during a visit to the Cellars.
